Soa “The Hulk” 18days to CFC

Hey what’s up guys hope you all had a great weekend. Is it Friday yet, lol its only Monday and I feel like I’ve done a weeks worth of work. I was up and early this morning I made sure I got a crossfit session done before the chaos began, guys I swear by crossfit, when I first walked into Southern Crossfits door I had no idea that incorporating their strength and conditioning training would help me as much as it has, its made be a better athlete and completely turned my fitness levels around. Southern CrossFit specializes group classes, making it affordable, and enjoyable for everyone. They limit our class size and membership base to ensure correct coaching and adequate room. After my crossfit session I grab some quick breakfast a bowl of fresh fruit and I hit the road with a protein shake. I get to the studio quarters of Today Tonight we shoot the segment for the show and then straight to shoot another segment for the Morning Show it’s non-stop, this is way harder than getting into a cage and fighting lol. After such a crazy first day to the week I head back and go through my emails there is so much I need to go through, with my emails that I receive from fans and fellow fighters I make sure I answer them. My team is great at keeping everything else in order but I’m the one that replies to the fans its important I do that, I like to interact with all my fans because if not for them I wouldn’t be able to do what I do or get to where I am. It takes me a while and by the time I’m done it’s off to my MMA training session. It was a long busy day and I head back to hotel and prepare my bags as I have an early flight in the morning. 20 days till Soa “The Hulk” Palelei meets Bob “The Beast” Sapp

Hey what’s up guys? By now most of you will probably be enjoying a couple of drinks but “The Hulk” doesn’t touch alcohol personal preference, I would rather eat some KFC but not until I get my fight over and done with, one thing I’ve found is that it tastes better not having it all the time (LOL). But keep in mind that’s only for a cheat meal I don’t eat it on a regular basis. Athletes and fitness lovers must adhere to a strict diet to maintain and achieve the physical results they crave. Meal plans are as diverse as the individuals following them, but, in general, an athletes diet is much stricter than a regular workout diet. For this reason, some athletes choose to incorporate a cheat meal to help them stick to the diet in the long run. The main benefit of having a cheat meal while training is mental relaxation. The driving force behind this is the notion that strict, restrictive diets cause the dieter to binge when he has a weak moment or gets completely fed up with the diet due to its strict routine. In fact, experts state that you’re much more likely to stick to a diet when you allow yourself some leeway. In addition, you might find that you’re more fatigued than usual during the first few weeks of the diet, because your body is reserving energy due to a low nutrient intake. I recommend a cheat meal to help replenish your energy and increase your metabolism. Its been yet another crazy week for “The Hulk” as much as my team has a handle on my schedule so many offers come up each day that the schedule isn’t ever really set, no complaints from me though I’ve worked hard to get to the status I’m at today, a lot of time, effort and professionalism goes into everything my team and I do, so it’s only fitting I have these great opportunities, I will be on a segment of Today Tonight soon and next week I have a shoot for a article in Menu Magazine, so keep your eyes open for “The Hulk” on Menu Magazine. 23 days till “The Hulk” Battles “The Beast”

Hey guys hope you all had a great public holiday and its back to business tomorrow kicking ass. I’ve been training up a storm for my bout in Sydney on the 18th of May CFC show against Bob Sapp in 23days and counting down. I never take any opponent I fight lightly cause you never know. When I got offered the fight it really didn’t interest me as a win against Bob Sapp doesn’t really take me a step closer to were I want to be but it was just another fight to keep active. I laughed when I got told Bob Sapp said he will put me to sleep so after I laughed very hard for 5mins I agreed to fight him. I just do my talking in the cage. I’ve been keeping very active since last year I’ve fought nearly every month, I like keeping busy this helps with maintaining my weight so if i was to get offered a fight on a bigger organization I’ll be ready to go. I get a lot of questions about how do I drop weight quick with out losing energy. When I first started fighting I always had a problem dropping weight but I always managed to do it for my fights but quite often had to use the sauna. I HATE the sauna I really do and I now know how to cut weight without having to use it, there’s a method to dropping weight and I swear by it and its called water. Water hydrates your body and helps it work efficiently. Water boosts your metabolic rate, which gives you energy and helps to burn calories. It is an essential drink in everyday life and a great tool for those who are dieting. The benefits of water are numerous, well-hydrated body helps your muscles and organs to work quickly and efficiently. When your body is working well, it will boost your metabolic rate and help you to feel more energetic. Water can help your metabolism burn calories 3% faster. Metabolism plays a big role in losing weight so it’s important to give your body what it needs in order for it to work the way you want. So guys try to drink as much water as possible it really will work wonders for you in saying that you need to monitor on how much you drink. There’s a lot of projects for me in the pipe line, but I’ll always continue to fight and keep the fans happy because if it weren’t for you I wouldn’t be where I am, I have 2 more fights already booked for the year but I will focus on the fight on May 18th and once this one is over and done with I will announce the next one. 23rd April Soa “The Hulk” Blog

Hey guys hope you all had a great weekend. What did you all think of yesterdays UFC 145 event between Evans & Jones, the match went the whole 5 rounds and went to decision in the end with Jones defending his Title, there where a lot of sneaky elbows coming from Jones, I was hoping Evans would come out the winner but it didn’t happen, I wanted to see a submission or a knockout but it didn’t happen, was a good card and there were some good fights. Since I last blogged I had told you how I had become the AFC Heavy Weight Champ and I’ve been keeping busy since. My team have gone into over drive back in Perth I’ve been offered a few things since then, and so much more is happening that I’m glad I have a great team behind me that makes sure everything is taken care of i guess il sit down with my manager peter nicholas and decide which way we will go. Training has been intense as I’m preparing for my next bout against Bob Sapp this bout will be in Sydney on May 18th if I were you id get my tickets in now there’s some big names on the card with an array of great MMA talent you wont want to miss it. It was straight back into training after my AFC win, you do what you have to do in order to be the best and I want to be the best that I can be. I’ve been working very hard at my trade if you call it that, everything is on point, sometimes its hard but don’t give up, keep pushing, keep grinding away all day everyday, and you will succeed. Hey guys hope you all had a great easter. Now tell me the truth how many Easter eggs & bunnies did you really have lol, “The Hulk” was very good I cant say the same for my kids they got spoilt with lots of chocolate. It’s worth it to see the smiles on their faces. Today was back to business for “The Hulk” I fight this Saturday coming up for the AFC World Title it would be great to have another belt to add to my trophy cabinet but thats not my goal. My goal is to get back to the UFC so guy’s hit Dana white up and tell him UFC needs “The Hulk” lol. This week I’m slowing it down no more weights just cardio, just keeping the blood flowing, my weight is on target all the hard work is now done. I’ll keep the cardio sessions going until a day before the weigh in then, once I’ve weighed in I just relax and take it easy till the fight. Guys all your support is amazing from my Facebook fans and Twitter followers thank you for all your support, you guys allow us athletes to keep going and do what we do, so again thank you guys. This week will be a crazy week with interviews, meetings and getting everything ready for when I leave for Melbourne. My team will make sure I have everything I need for when I fly out. All I have to do is show up and do my job and the rest is all taken care of which is great because I can just focus on the task at hand “The Fight”. My opponent is Joe Kielur and I don’t take any opponent lightly I also respect all my opponents. I’ve trained hard for this fight and i can wait just to jump in the ring and do my thing. Hey, what’s up guys hope you all had a good public holiday and did some sort of training today. I was up early this morning for my cardio session. If my opponent is up training early then you can guarantee I’m going to be up and training harder then him. Cardio exercise is one of the key components that should never be left out of a fitness plan. Cardio short for cardiovascular exercise is any movement that gets your heart rate up and increases blood circulation throughout the body. There are numerous benefits from a cardio workout such as improved metabolism & heart-rate, improved recovery ability and overall it is very beneficial to you. I head over to Hulk MMA, a good friend and team mate of mine X Man comes down for a session with Sidney Silva and we do 5×5 min rounds on the bag. X Man will be fighting here in Perth on the 24th of April so show your support for him. Training is hectic at the moment and i’m looking forward to my fight next week and putting another win to my name. If you want something enough you will put in the hard yards guys. No guts, no glory! After we are finished I head home to spend some time with my children. With such a busy schedule and fighting nearly every month I make sure that I spend as much time as possible with my children. I’m a very proud father, with 2 daughters who swim for state and are very dedicated to their swimming and schooling and Lil Hulk who’s now practicing Brazilian Jiu Jitsu because he wants to be just like his dad. Hey guys hope you all had a kick ass day. Over at Team Hulk camp it’s been very hectic, but we like it that way. We have a lot of projects on the pipeline I have a great team that keep me occupied. Its been awesome that Sidney Silva is here helping me with my prep for the fight he is over here from Las Vegas head coach at wand gym. I’ll be heading to Melbourne next week for my match against Joe Kielur on April 14th for the AFC World Heavy Weight Title and I’m ready to rumble. This week I’ve been slowing things down and just mainly focusing on technique and being mentally ready. Ever since i got back to fighting professionally since 2002 after a long break and there have been a lot of people come into my life, some people that are still around but some have faded away with wins and losses. I mention this guys because its important to surround yourself with good people that appreciate you. Let all the people that doubt you about your dreams. There’s always going to be people who don’t believe you can make it and and say your not good enough, don’t waste your time on these people called haters, get them out of your life you cant please every one. As long as your happy. Make sure you have good friends and have positive people surrounding you that’s all you need. I’ve worked too damn hard to let things like that get me down. I have to say im blessed to be able to do what I love with the support from YOU and my sponsors. On another note guys what do you think about Brock Lesnar being back in the WWE he made his first appearance on Raw and instantly had beef with John Cena, who lost his WrestleMania bout against my man “The Rock”. Its interesting to see how he went from being with UFC which is the top MMA organization to the WWE which is also the top in their department. I personally cant wait to see what he will do for the WWE, he’s a force to be reckoned with and will most definitely shake things up. Im always a big fan of the WWE.
