Soa “The Hulk” Daily Blog

What’s up guys hope you had a good day not long till “The Hulk” vs “Superman” on the CFC show in sydney next friday the 9th of December should be a awesome fight, this morning I started off with a run on the beach, it felt good to be out of the gym and get some fresh air. I have my green juice and some scrambled egg whites for breakfast, I get ready for another training session at Southern Crossfit they have been kicking my ass this week but its all worth it you know the saying “No Pain No Gain” it was a bad ass session once that was over and done with “The Hulk” wanted more so I made my way to the gym were I did a cardio session on the treadmill. I have a lunch meeting to go over possible sponsorship I have Asian Ground Beef with Mushroom Lettuce and Carrot, Lean beef is a very good source of protein, providing 64.1% of the daily value of the nutrient, in just 4 ounces. Its not KFC that’s for sure but good things come to those who wait. I see my sports psychologist and we talk about my fight plan and go over possible scenarios on what could happen on the fight good or bad, making sure that every aspect is covered with physical strength from training and mental strength from these sessions. This evening I have a huge BJJ class and once I’m done there I do 7x5min rounds of pad. After a busy day I look forward to dinner tonight I have Paleo Chicken Stir Fry with bell peppers, carrot and broccoli. I also make sure that during the day I have water no juice or soft drinks water is the best thing you can drink keep it up and try to drink as much as possible. I had a question on my last blog by my Trainer Cheng Goh he asked: Soa, being an mma expert, how competitive do you think Bruce Lee would’ve been in the UFC (featherweight of course), say if he had 6 months to learn the ropes? My thoughts are that Aldo will destroy him. Didn’t think he spent that much time on sparring, from what I’ve read. Could be wrong tho.? Cheng if it was a movie then yeah Bruce Lee would win hands down, but in real life I agree with you Aldo would destroy him there’s way too much technique and skill that Bruce Lee would be missing, unless he uses his one inch punch lol. Much respect to Bruce Lee he was and still is a legend and im still a fan but he would lose. Guy’s thanks for all your support and ill see you all tomorrow. All Day Every Day.

Guys I hope you had a great day, most of you will be saying thank god for Friday as you have the weekend off as for the, “The Hulk” I’m still going. I have an appearance tomorrow so after this I’ll be getting on a plane & get ready for a sparring session packed with heavy weights, then in the evening I have a event to attend. This morning I did I Pilates a class, at times I struggle to stay awake lol, I usually have the person next to me tap me on the shoulder as I start to doze off. Pilates can assist with injury prevention. Because Pilates works on a controlled lengthening of the muscles, it can be beneficial in assisting overall flexibility (lower back, hamstrings, shoulders) & this can aid in creating a stronger game & a greater level of stamina on the course. So as you can see there are benefits to doing Pilates but I still cant help falling asleep but the instructor wouldn’t say a thing, he doesn’t want to make “The Hulk” angry hahaha. After breakfast I make my way to Southern Crossfit i prepare myself for todays session you never know what you’ll be doing its always a different workout, today we had “FOR TIME: 21,15,9: 800m Run, Toes 2 Ring, Wall Balls 20lb. I have a meeting with my marketing team, we go over the final details for my bout in the coming weeks in Sydney everything has been locked down & we are ready to rumble. I have a few appearances & seminars that I will be hosting so we also go over those details as much as the year is coming to an end very quickly it doesn’t seem to be slowing down for me. I hit the gym this afternoon and so a weight work out & then I do 5x5min rounds of pad work followed by sparring. Like I had mentioned before I’m due to fly out so I get my bags ready after eating some steak for dinner just as my driver comes to pick me up. Guys have a great weekend and ill see you all on Monday be ready to kick some ass. All Day Everyday.

Hey guys hope you’re all well I woke up this morning feeling fresh and ready to take on the day and what it may throw at me. The day started with a 5km run on the treadmill early morning even though you might feel like a zombie when you crawl out of bed in the morning, it’s still going to be the best time to give anything your full attention – after you’re fully awake that is! Most people find that after they put in a full day at work and then head to the gym their mental focus isn’t as good, they’re tired and so their workout would suffers. So give it a go in the morning guys! Southern Cross fit’s session this morning was tough but “The Hulk” never gives up the workout was: CrossFit Baseball – 1st Base = 10 Push-Ups, 2nd Base = 10 Squats, 3rd Base = 10 Burpees, Home = 10 Reps of a randomly selected Movement i.e. Row, Run, Box Jumps, push press 17.5kg etc., Successfully rounding the bases scores 1 run/point, there was 2 teams and it was a draw. I grab some lunch after my crossfit session I have Paleo meatballs with a side salad. Whilst having lunch I get about 20 texts from clients and friends saying I just saw you on TV, after being in movies and several other commercials I still find it surreal. I head home and rest I don’t want to wear my body out nor do I want to get injuries with my bout being around the corner. I make my way to the gym and do a cosmetic workout I have an appearance tomorrow and it helps with looking the part. I have a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu class in the afternoon, every week the classes are getting bigger, I have some students that will be entering BJJ comps and “The Hulk” himself will do some comps just to keep busy. After a long day of training I’ve worked up an appetite I have roast pork with vegetables for dinner, I have a lot of fish and protein in my diet and I also have a lot of vegetables. A well-rounded diet that has worked wonders with me along with the new training regime, I feel fitter faster and healthier than I have ever felt before. I cant wait till the 9th of december “The Hulk” wil do battle I visualize for 20mins and go over different scenarios for my fight and then I make my way to bed. All Day Every Day.

Guys I hope you had a good weekend and enjoyed your cheat meal, I wish I had a cheat meal but with my fight around the corner I keep to the diet but I look forward to one after the fight. So what did you all think about UFC 139 this weekend, id like to say congratulations to Dan Henderson on his win that match has to be without a doubt one of the greatest matches I’ve seen this year and big round of applause also to Shogun, he did great going the 5 rounds with Henzo, he sure can take a punch. I want to know what is happening with Bones Jones and Rashad Evans this would be a match to watch but its not set yet. Today was jam packed I made sure I had time for my work outs, this morning I did 50 laps of the pool and then I hit the spa to relax and unwind. I head back and grab some breakfast fresh yoghurt with muesli and mixed berries, I have this and then make my way to shoot some promo work for my bout in December for CFC, I can now confirm that I will be versing Mat “The Superman” Walker, well see if “The Hulk” is his kryptonite after I am green (LOL). I sit down with my manager Peter Nicholas and we go over our game plan for the bout, guys stay tuned and if you can make it to Sydney for the bout you will see that “The Hulk” will have a special guest of honor there as his corner man, I will let you know in time who it is. After having dinner I wind down for about 2 hours and then I make my way to a 24hour gym and do a 5km row. Even though I have to fly in and out whether it be for shoots, films, or meetings I always stay to my schedule and keep training it’s imperative that I don’t miss a day. Thank you for all your support guys and keep training hard, stay tuned for tomorrows video blog. All Day Every Day.

Hey guys I hope you have all trained hard today. Where do I start on my day, I got up early this morning and I did a 5km row, a rowing machine workout is a very simple workout, and yet it works your upper and lower body in ways that you probably wouldn’t realize until after you’ve done the workout. I had a commercial shoot and a photo-shoot, then a very important business meeting so I wasn’t able to make crossfit, my meeting went extremely well. Guy’s & girls I’m pleased to say that “The Hulk” will be coming to a TV near you, so keep an eye out on the morning shows and check out the Rapid Loss add. I’ve had a few people ask me “ Hoe do I keep my diet in check when I’m so busy during the day with training meetings and appearances?” Guy’s I know its hard when you have a million things to do in a day and you just want to grab something quick and easy, you can still do that but have something healthy. The last thing you want is to put all this hard work in training and then throwing it all away by eating rubbish. There’s an array of great Paleo recipes that are quick and easy for you to make and they are healthy for you, you can prepare it the night before and through out the day snack on vegetables, fruits and nuts, my preference is roasted almonds. With only a short amount of time till my fight I make sure that my training is on key everything is done with precision and I hit every move 100% & the technique is perfect. After a long day I just want to unwind and have a good meal, I eat grilled fish and grilled vegetables and I drink plenty of water. I have a conference call with my US agent and we go over schedules and future projects. I hope you all have a safe weekend and enjoy your cheat meal, remember guys cheat meal not the whole day (lol). All Day Every Day.
